In collaboration with the University of Queensland, ACCIONA Energía has launched a conservation and research plan for the Macrozamia Conferta at the MacIntyre Wind Farm, the largest renewable energy facility built by the Company. The goal is to locate, describe, translocate, and maintain over 12,000 specimens of these shrubs.
We participate in a population reinforcement plan for the red kite in the Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Sierras Natural Park (Andalusia), securing new pairs of these birds in the Andalusian region, helping to promote new populations, and reinforcing the scarce existing population in the national park.

ACCIONA Energía applies a comprehensive circularity approach in all our operations, leveraging resources in a continuous cycle of use and maximizing their usefulness without exceeding the planet's regenerative capacity.
Our goal is to halve the amount of non-recycled waste compared to 2020, in addition to doubling the percentage of renewable and/or recycled resources we consume.
ACCIONA Energía and RenerCycle have announced the construction of Waste2Fiber, a wind blade recycling plant in Lumbier (Navarra), which will be operational in 2025.
